‘I’d be so happy’ – Real Madrid star calls Chelsea’s Enzo Fernández to Spain

Fútbol español

New Real Madrid signing Marc Cucurella has this week called for former teammate Enzo Fernández to join him in Spain’s capital this summer.

Defender Cucurella is of course fresh off putting pen to paper on terms with La Liga heavyweights Real Madrid.

After new Blancos boss José Mourinho made known his desire to have the Spanish international at his disposal next season, Florentino Pérez and co. wasted no time in thrashing out a deal with their Chelsea counterparts.

Cucurella, though, is not the only Blues star to have been linked with a move to the Bernabéu this summer.

So too has the aforementioned Enzo Fernández. Amid an ongoing search for reinforcements in the middle of the park, Real are understood to have earmarked the Argentine as a leading target.

And Cucurella has made clear this week that he would love nothing more than to link back up with Enzo in his new home.

Speaking during an interview with Radio Marca (as cited by Fabrizio Romano) on Wednesday, Los Merengues’ new left-back admitted:

“I hope Enzo Fernández joins Real Madrid, too. I’d be so happy. The opportunity for us to both join Real Madrid in the same summer would be amazing.”
