La Liga giants Atlético Madrid are locked in ongoing negotiations over the signing of Paris Saint-Germain star Lee Kang-in.
This comes amid the understanding that the South Korean has been identified as a leading summer transfer target on the part of Diego Simeone and co.
Atlético are of course fresh off tying up a deal for one high-profile addition this week, having thrashed put the terms of an agreement with Bayer Leverkusen for Alejandro Grimaldo.
Amid ongoing efforts to build a squad capable of keeping pace with Barcelona and Real Madrid, though, the Rojiblancos appear far from finished there.
As per a report from market insider Matteo Moretto, the Metropolitano brass are now working hard to bring in attacking midfielder Lee Kang-in from European champions PSG:
‘The agreement between Atlético de Madrid and Lee Kang-in has already been sealed verbally; only formalizing it remains. Atlético de Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain are negotiating the definitive figure.’
Lee, for his part, previously spent time plying his trade in La Liga with both Valencia and RCD Mallorca.
